Meet Julian.
For decades, Julian was the person people turned to when they needed an answer.
As a senior archivist at a busy municipal archive in central Manchester, his work involved years of historical records, family histories and documents most people would never think twice about.
He loved what he did. Over the years, he had built up an impressive knowledge of history through constant reading, research and a natural curiosity about the world around him.
Remembering details came naturally to him.
But after retiring around seven years ago, he began noticing small changes.
Names took longer to come to mind. Familiar facts weren't as easy to recall, and sometimes he found himself pausing in the middle of a conversation, trying to find the right word.
Nothing happened overnight, but he started noticing it more often.
This is Julian's story.
He Didn't Expect Much to Change.
When Julian first came across SITARE Labs, he wasn't particularly impressed.
"I'd seen plenty of wellness products making big promises," he says. "I wasn't looking for another quick fix."
Still, something made him take a closer look.
He checked the ingredients and looked into the formula. Having tried individual ingredients like Lion's Mane before, without noticing much difference, he was curious about how a combination of ingredients might offer a different approach.
Eventually, he decided to give it a try.
He ordered one bottle, treating it more as an experiment than anything else.
He started taking it with breakfast each morning and continued with his usual routine.
Over the following weeks, he began paying closer attention to how he felt throughout the day.
"I didn't expect anything dramatic," Julian explains. "I just wanted to see if I'd notice any difference in my day-to-day routine."
Rather than jumping to conclusions, he decided to give it more time.
Six Months In
What started as a one-bottle experiment eventually became part of Julian's daily routine.
Over the next several months, he continued using SITARE Labs while maintaining the habits he'd built over the years.
He particularly valued the feeling of staying engaged with the things he enjoyed.
"I've always enjoyed reading and learning new things. I didn't want that to become something I struggled with," he says.
For Julian, the goal was never to suddenly become more productive or feel an artificial boost of energy. He simply wanted to maintain his mental sharpness and feel comfortable in everyday conversations.
He also became more conscious of the importance of looking after himself as he got older.
"I think you start appreciating the little things more. Being able to follow a conversation, remember something you read or stay focused on a project. Those things matter."
A Renewed Sense of Confidence
Over time, Julian found himself placing less emphasis on the occasional moments when he couldn't immediately recall something.
He continued spending time on historical research projects at home, reading and enjoying conversations with friends and family.
His wife, Sarah, was also supportive of his efforts to maintain an active lifestyle.
"When you get older, it's easy to become overly aware of the things you don't do as easily as you once did," Julian shares.
"Finding ways to look after yourself and staying consistent with good habits makes a difference to how you approach everyday life."
For him, it was about continuing to enjoy the activities that had always mattered.
Consistency Over Quick Fixes
Julian is the first to admit that he doesn't believe in overnight solutions.
He understands that mental performance is influenced by many things, including sleep, nutrition, physical activity and staying mentally engaged.
"I've never expected one product to do everything," he explains. "I still read, go for walks and keep myself busy. Those habits are important to me."
SITARE Labs became one part of that routine.
He sees it as an addition to the steps he already takes to look after himself, rather than a replacement for them.
And perhaps that's the biggest takeaway from Julian's approach.
Staying mentally engaged isn't about chasing quick fixes. It's about making consistent choices that support your overall well-being.
For Julian, it's about continuing to enjoy the things that have always made him who he is.
